Here are some synthesized phone tones - probably the only use for them is practical jokes... (no, I will not create "special" sounds such as the TASI tone or red box sounds for you!!!) They were digitized with SoundEdit at 7.4 KHz sampling, which gives a sound quality comparable to a good phone line. Here's a description of the files : - dial tone (350 Hz + 440 Hz - continuous) - telephone ring (440 Hz + 480 Hz - 2 sec. on, 4 sec. off) - fast busy - this is what the phone company gives you when the network is busy (480 Hz + 620 Hz - 0.2 sec. on, 0.3 sec. off) - normal busy signal (480 Hz + 620 Hz - 0.5 sec. on, 0.5 sec. off) - multifrequency howl - what you get when you forget to hang up the phone (1400 Hz + 2060 Hz + 2450 Hz + 2600 Hz - 0.1 sec. on, 0.1 sec. off) Enjoy!
